CMAL will undertake minor traffic management works at Kennacraig Ferry Terminal on the evening of Tuesday 18 August 2026.

The works will involve installing new asphalt speed humps on the approaches to the pedestrian crossing beside the ticket kiosk. This safety measure will help reduce the risk of speeding and reinforce the terminal’s 10 mph speed limit.

Work will begin once all vehicles have disembarked and left the port, after the arrival of the final ferry sailing at approximately 20:30 and is expected to be completed by 05:00 the following morning.

To allow work to begin promptly, we ask that all vehicles and people leave the affected marshalling area, upper car parks and terminal building directly after the final sailing. During the works, vehicle access to and from these areas via the usual access road will be unavailable.

We kindly ask any commercial lorry drivers or others who usually park in the main terminal lanes overnight to park only in the commercial lorry area to allow us to safely and efficiently complete these essential works.
