Background to Harbour Dues

Harbour Dues are payable at all CMAL Harbours by all users and all activity at CMAL locations is monitored by CCTV.

Charges are reviewed and updated on an annual basis.

The Terms and Conditions for Harbour use are applicable to all users and are available on the website.

The fees collected are used to contribute towards improving, maintaining and managing harbour facilities and infrastructure owned by CMAL in Scotland.

Paying your Harbour Dues

As of 01 October 2017, customers will receive all communications in respect of collection of CMAL harbour dues from CalMac Ferries Ltd. For more information, please click here to read the full statement from CMAL (PDF, 115kb)

Charges are based on a call by call basis and can be paid locally at staffed harbours or uniquely, if using facilities or public moorings at Loch Eatharna, Isle of Coll, payment can also be made at the Coll Hotel.

A range of season tickets are also available to purchase for both registered fishing and pleasure vessels.

Passes offered include a berthing only annual pass for fishing vessels, or a range of composite season tickets, for both fishing and pleasure vessels, which include berthing, passenger/crew dues, fish landing dues and water dues.

Following submission of evidence of vessel insurance and receipt of payment, a credit card sized ticket will be issued by post, with the vessel name and details, ticket type and validity period.  You will be asked to display this on arrival at CMAL facility.

Tickets are for named vessels, and are not interchangeable.
