Mariners are advised that consultants Mott MacDonald will be undertaking a survey of the old pier head and supporting structures for the main pier approach and linkspan dolphins at Gott Bay Pier, Tiree Ferry Terminal, Scaranish, Isle of Tiree.
The survey works will commence on 06 August 2018 and will also involve a dive project undertaken by Shearwater Marine Services Ltd based from the pier structure from where Flag A “Diving Operations” will be displayed at all times while divers are in the water. The dive team supervisor will liaise with harbour operations staff and the ferry Master and will monitor VHF channel 16. A safety boat will be in attendance.
The works are scheduled to be completed within three days and during this time all vessels navigating in the vicinity of Gott Bay Pier are requested to maintain a look-out for the divers and the safety boat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
