Complete 42/14

Mariners are advised that works to repair fendering at the northeast and southwest corners of Largs Ferry Terminal Pier will commence on Wednesday 16th July 2014.

Contractors NG Builders and Shearwater Marine Ltd will be operating from a small boat and the pier deck and works are anticipated to be completed within seven days. During this time there may be a need to use divers to assist in the works.

Should a dive project be required at all times operational working areas will be appropriately marked using Flag A “Diving Operations” and during the hours of darkness by the relevant navigation lights.

The contractor’s supervisor will monitor VHF Channel 16 and liaise with the Port Manager and Masters of the CalMac Ferries to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Largs Ferry Terminal must do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly. Vessels are also advised, with the exception of ferry movements, Largs Inner Harbour will be closed to all vessel access while diving operations are on-going.
