Mariners are advised that on 27 July 2022, surveyors Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys will commence a side-scan sonar and magnetometer survey of Gourock Ferry Terminal, Gourock Bay, Firth of Clyde.

The work is expected to be completed within 3 – 4 days and will be undertaken from survey vessel Coastal Sensor II.

Indicative marine survey extents

Communication will be maintained with CalMac Ferries and others as required via VHF radio throughout all survey works. Surveys will be completed between sailings of the scheduled ferry services to avoid any disruption.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Gourock Ferry Terminal, Gourock Bay, during this time are requested to maintain a lookout for the survey vessel and pass at a safe distance and speed to minimise the effects of wash on the vessel.
