DEMOLITION OF BRODICK OLD PIER UPDATE

Mariners are advised that the deconstruction and demolition of Brodick Old Pier at Brodick Ferry Terminal, Isle of Arran will commence on 25 April 2022.

The demolition project is to be undertaken using 3 barges CW-3, see below, CW-4 and B-63. The 3 barges will be towed by the tug Coastworker, when they are needing moved.

Three lit special market buoys Fl(4)12s will be temporarily established to mark the seaward limits of the working area within which the demolition works are taking place.

The works are scheduled to take six months and during this time all vessels navigating in the vicinity of Brodick Ferry Terminal and the Old Pier are requested to maintain a look-out for the buoys, tug and barges, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
