Mariners are advised that fender repair works will be undertaken at Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminal, Firth of Clyde commencing on Thursday 23 March 2017.
CMAL’s contractor George Leslie Ltd will be operating from the pier deck and operators will be suspended from a man basket working at the face of the fenders. At times there may be a workboat on site. It is anticipated the works will be completed within one day.
The contractor’s supervisor will liaise with the Port Manager and Masters of the Caledonian MacBrayne ferries to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services. VHF channel 12 and 16 will also be monitored.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminal are advised to maintain a look-out for contractors and workboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
