NTM 19/24 Linkspan Inspections
Mariners are advised that engineers will be conducting inspections of linkspans in and on the following locations
- Oban No.1 – Tuesday 23rd April
- Coll – Wednesday 24th April
- Tiree – Thursday 25th April
The inspections are scheduled to be undertaken from the linkspan and a small workboat during daylight hours only. The workboat may occasionally be out of sight beneath structures.
During the works the coxswain of the workboat will maintain VHF communication on channels 12 and 16 and liaise with the ferry master and local port manager to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services.
Mariners navigating in these locations on these dates are requested to do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash.
Unless otherwise promulgated if this NTM is still marked as ‘Active’, it remains in force.
