Mariners are advised that weather permitting inspection and painting works are to be undertaken on the ferry berthing structure at Lochaline Ferry Terminal, Sound of Mull commencing on 22 March 2017.

North West Marine Ltd will be operating both on the structure and at times beneath it in a small workboat. It is anticipated the works will be completed within five days.

The contractor’s supervisor will liaise with the Port Manager and Masters of the Caledonian MacBrayne ferries to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services. VHF channel 12 and 16 will also be monitored.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Lochaline Ferry Terminal are advised to maintain a look-out for the workboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
