Mariners are advised that, weather permitting, contractors Aberdeen Marine will be undertaking snagging works to pier fendering on the linkspan berth and south steps at Armadale Ferry Terminal, Armadale Bay, Isle of Skye.

The work is scheduled to be undertaken from 05 March 2022 and be completed within 2 days. Works will be conducted from the pier deck and from the water, using a small workboat, between scheduled ferry sailings to avoid any service disruption.

To protect the contractors, mariners are advised that out with the published times of ferry services the linkspan berth and south steps will be closed to all vessels unless by prior arrangement with the CalMac Port Manager who will consult with the contractor.

The contractor will maintain VHF communications on channel 16.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Armadale Ferry Terminal at this time are requested to do so with caution, stay well clear of the pier and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash.
