Mariners are advised that weather permitting an inspection of the RoRo linkspan and pier structure at Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminal, Firth of Clyde will be undertaken on 2 February 2018.
CMAL’s consulting engineer Mott MacDonald will be operating from the pier and a small workboat and the inspection will be completed within one day.
The consultant’s supervisor will liaise with the Harbour Manager and ferry Masters to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services. VHF channels 12 and 16 will also be monitored.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminal on this date are advised to maintain a look-out for the workboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
