With reference to NTM 07/26, mariners are advised that commencing about 0930 on Tuesday 20 January 2026, a dive project will commence to salvage the sunken fishing vessel Azalea at Oban Railway Pier, Oban. It is anticipated the operation will be completed within one day.
The project will be supported by workboat MV Meercat which can be contacted on channel 12 or 16.
With the exception of vessels involved in the salvage project, the area indicated in the following drawing will be closed to all unauthorised vessel movements while diving and/or lifting operations are being conducted.
The works will be programmed to avoid impacting on scheduled ferry services.
Mariners navigating in the vicinity of Railway Pier, Oban, during this time are requested to do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash.
Unless otherwise promulgated, if the NTM is still marked as ‘Active’ it is still in force.
