Scottish-led HySeas III project will hold its final workshop in Edinburgh on June 15.

The consortium, which includes the University of St Andrews and Orkney Islands Council, alongside several European organisations, aims to build Europe’s first sea-going ferry powered by hydrogen fuel cells.

The event will share the results and impacts of the project and discuss the market potential for hydrogen fuel cell-powered ferries.  It will also share the results of hydrogen fuel cell and battery propulsion string tests which led to further development and optimisation of the system architecture and energy management system.

The ship design process and bunkering, including safety challenges and mitigation, will also be covered in the workshop.

It will take place on Wednesday 15 June 2022 from 9.30am at  The Royal Society, 22-26 George Street, Edinburgh.

Registration is free, but spaces are limited. Please click here to book your place.
