1 58/14

Mariners are advised that at low tide on Friday 12th September 2014 works to fit water level monitoring equipment at Gourock Ferry Terminal will be undertaken by representatives from Scottish Environment Protection Agency.

SEPA will be operating from the deck of the linkspan outer lifting dolphin and fitting the equipment on the rear of the structure. This may require a member of the team wearing appropriate PPE to be working at water level for a short period of time. The SEPA supervisor will maintain a radio watch on VHF channel 16 and liaise with the Port Manager and Masters of the scheduled ferries to ensure there is no disruption to ferry services.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Gourock Ferry Terminal must do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
