Complete 57/16

Please note diving operations are planned to be undertaken by North West Marine at Lochranza Ferry Terminal between Monday 23rd – Friday 27th November.

The divers will set up their diving equipment on the pier and will be performing an airlifting exercise at the Eastern facing interface between the original and extended pier and are also taking some material samples from the seabed within the footprint of the overnight berthing position of the ferry and will be undertaking this work during the day whilst the timetabled ferry is active.

At all times, dive operation working areas will be appropriately marked using Flag A “Diving Operations” and will be undertaken between scheduled ferry services to ensure there is no disruption to service. North West Marine will be working under a CalMac Ferries Permit to Dive. The dive team supervisor will liaise with the harbour manager/supervisor and ferry Masters and will monitor VHF Channel 16. The North West Marine Supervisor: Tony Ratcliffe: 01631 565652 / 07836 366419

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Locharanza Ferry Terminal are advised to exercise vigilance and pass at minimum safe manoeuvring speed and sufficient distance from the dive site to reduce the risk of damage or injury being caused by the passing vessel’s wash or displacement.
