Mariners are advised that a dive project to repair fendering at the Tiree Ferry Terminal Pier roundhead will commence on Tuesday 9th September 2014.

Contractors Aberdeen Marine Ltd will be operating from the pier deck with safety boat in attendance and works are anticipated to be completed within two days.

At all times during the dive project operational working areas will be appropriately marked using Flag A “Diving Operations”. It is not planned to have any dive operations during the hours of darkness.

The dive team supervisor will monitor VHF Channel 16 and liaise with the Port Manager and Masters of the CalMac Ferries to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Tiree Ferry Terminal must do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly allowing sufficient time for divers to leave the water if required.
