NTM 45/14 Lochboisdale Ferry Terminal, South Uist Pier Fender Repairs

Mariners are advised that works to repair fendering at Lochboisdale Ferry Terminal Pier will commence today, Tuesday 22nd July 2014.

Contractors Alchemy Plant and Contracting will be operating from the pier deck with a safety boat in attendance and works are anticipated to be completed within three days.

The contractor’s supervisor will monitor VHF Channel 16 and liaise with the Port Manager and Masters of the CalMac Ferries to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Lochboisdale Ferry Terminal must do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
