Mariners are advised that contractors Bibby Hydromap Limited will be conducting ground investigation works by drilling three exploratory boreholes within an area adjacent to the toes of Rhubodach Ferry Slipway and Colintraive Ferry Terminal Slipway, Kyles of Bute.

Weather permitting the works will commence on Sunday 5th April 2015 and are planned for a duration of two successive evenings. Works will start following the completion of the final scheduled ferry sailing.

Works will be undertaken from on board a multicat workboat which will display appropriate day shapes and lights (during reduced visibility and hours of darkness) at all times.

The vessel master will monitor VHF Channel 12 and 16 and will liaise with the Port Manager, Master of the CalMac Ferry and Peel Ports (Clydeport) on a daily basis.

It is requested that all vessels operating near to this area maintain a safe distance and pass at minimum speed to reduce vessel wash.
