NTM 09/23 Oban Ferry Terminal Linkspan & Berth No. 2 Inspections

Mariners are advised during 17th January 2023, engineers will conduct inspections of linkspan no. 2 and the associated quayside berth fenders at Oban Railway Pier, Oban.
The inspections are scheduled to be undertaken from the linkspan and a small workboat during daylight hours only. The workboat may occasionally be out of sight beneath structures.
During the works the coxswain of the workboat will maintain VHF communication on channels 12 and 16 and liaise with the ferry master and local port manager to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services.
Mariners navigating during this time near to the ferry terminal no. 2 berth are requested to do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash.
