CMAL owns 32 ferries and leases one further ferry.  The vessels are leased to the current operator, CalMac Ferries Ltd, on routes to the islands and peninsulas of the west of Scotland, except for the MV CANNA, which is operated by Rathlin Island Ferries Ltd in Northern Ireland.  The smallest ferries can carry five cars and up to 143 cars or 20 HGVs can be accommodated on the MV LOCH SEAFORTH.
