Mariners are advised that weather and sea state permitting, on 25 March 2021 surveyors Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys will be undertaking high resolution bathymetric surveys of the inner harbour, Loch Leodamais, Port Ellen Ferry Terminal, Isle of Islay. The work is expected to be completed within 2-days.
Works will be undertaken from survey vessel Coastal Sensor II.
Communication will be maintained with CalMac Ferries Ltd and others as required via VHF radio throughout all survey works. Surveys will be completed between sailings of the scheduled ferry service to avoid any disruption.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Port Ellen Ferry Terminal and inner harbour area on these dates are requested to do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly during the period of the survey.
