ALL CMAL PORTS AND HARBOURS 

 

From and including 5th January 2026 the following Local Port Service procedure shall be followed by vessels arriving and departing at CMAL ports  

 

Vessels over 300 GRT* 

30 minutes before Estimated Time of Arrival / departure at / from berth, call <Port Name>Harbour (for example Brodick Harbour) on VHF Ch12 to confirm the following: 

  • Estimated Time of Arrival /Estimated Time of Departure 
  • Maximum arrival / departure draft 
  • Details of any critical defects affecting the vessel 

 

All Vessels* 

Before entering Harbour Limits and before shifting/departing from 

berths every vessel is required to announce on VHF CH 12: 

“All vessels , this is ‘………’ inbound for <Port Name>Harbour berthing at ……/ 

move from……to……../departing from…….for sea” 

 

* = Except scheduled ferry services

Unless otherwise promulgated, if the NTM is still marked as ‘Active’ it is still in force.
