Harbour redevelopment progressing well

The Gourock harbour redevelopment has been progressing well. CMAL appointed engineering firm Mott MacDonald to carry out both land and marine side ground investigation works. The works, once completed, will allow the detailed design to continue and be issued as part of the tender.


Mott MacDonald appointed to complete detailed design work

25 October 2022

We have appointed engineering firm Mott MacDonald to complete detailed design work for the redevelopment of Gourock Ferry Terminal. The work will establish design requirements to be included in the tender documents.

To help inform the plans, both land and marine side ground investigation works will take place from 1 November 2022 for 12 weeks at Gourock Ferry Terminal. These will be coordinated with the ferry timetable to minimise disruption.

Consultant appointed for terminal redevelopment

The Gourock Ferry Terminal Redevelopment project has taken a significant step forward with the appointment of an engineering consultant to develop infrastructure options.

Engineering firm Mott MacDonald has been appointed to draw up high level options for the redevelopment of the harbour.  The options will then be refined to enable the selection of a preferred option, which will be used as the basis of a harbour masterplan for the upgrade of infrastructure.
