Complete NTM 34/22

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

MARITIME DECLARATION of HEALTH

UPDATE JUNE 2022

With reference to NTM 04/22, Mariners are advised that after recent discussion with their Scottish Government Health Department colleagues, Public Health Scotland now recommend that the enhanced maritime declaration of health response to Covid-19 is no longer required, and that ports and vessels are advised to return to business as usual.

In effect, this means in respect of reporting of infectious diseases and circumstances that may lead to transmission of infectious disease, where detected, Masters of ships should resume reporting only what is required under The Public Health (Ships) (Scotland) Regulations 1971 (as amended 1974, 1978, 2007).

Subsequently, NTM 04/22 is now cancelled.

Further information can be found on the Scottish Government, Health Protection Scotland and World Health Organization websites.
