NTM 79/21 Largs Harbour & Cumbrae Ferry Slipway Bathymetric Survey Works

Mariners are advised that on 28 October 2021, CMAL’s contractor Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys will be conducting multibeam hydrographic surveys of the following harbour and slipway within the Firth of Clyde area.

  • Largs Inner Harbour and pier outer berthing areas
  • Tattie Pier, Cumbrae Ferry Slipway

Surveys are planned to be undertaken from a small workboat and weather permitting it is anticipated works at both locations will be completed within a single day.

The survey team supervisor will monitor VHF channels 12 and 16 and liaise with the local CalMac Ferries Ltd Port Managers to ensure there is no disruption to timetabled ferry services.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of the two locations during this time are advised to maintain a lookout for the survey vessel and proceed with caution, regulating your speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
