Mariners are advised that following the completion of dredging within the inner harbour at East Loch Tarbert, Isle of Harris, during week commencing 20 July 2020 works will commence to reinstate the Isle of Harris marina pontoons to their original position and the anchors re-laid. Works are scheduled to be completed within approximately 6-weeks.

The vessel involved in this operation will be a 16m multicat workboat that at times will be assisted by divers.

At all times during works the Master will maintain a radio watch on channels 12 and 16. While divers are in the water the dive supervisor will ensure an A flag is displayed. The Master of the workboat and the dive supervisor will liaise with the local CalMac Ferries Ltd Port Manager/Supervisor to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of inner East Loch Tarbert during this time are advised to proceed with caution, remain well clear of the workboat and regulate your speed to minimise the effects of wash.

Throughout the period of the works scheduled ferry services will continue operation however, pier and inner harbour access by other vessels will be restricted and only permitted by prior arrangement with the Port Manager in liaison with the Master of the workboat
