NTM 32/23 Coll and Tiree Bathymetric Surveys

Complete NTM 32/23

Mariners are advised that during a consecutive 7-day period commencing from 02 August 2023, surveyors Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys will be undertaking high-resolution bathymetric surveys of areas within Loch Eatharna, Isle of Coll and Gott Bay, Isle of Tiree.

The work schedule will be determined by prevailing weather and sea state, but each location should be completed within this period and will be undertaken from survey vessel Proteus.

The survey vessel will maintain VHF radio communication with CalMac Ferries Ltd, and others as required throughout all survey works. Surveys will be completed between sailings of the scheduled ferry services to avoid any disruption.

All vessels navigating within both locations during this time are requested to maintain a lookout for the survey vessel and when observed please pass at a safe distance and speed to minimise the effects of wash on the vessel.

Unless otherwise promulgated, if the NTM is still marked as ‘Active’ it remains in force.
