Further to NTM 14/21, mariners are advised that due to recent unfavourable weather the asset condition dive survey at Castlebay Ferry Terminal, Isle of Barra could not take place as planned and has had to be rescheduled.
Weather permitting this will now be undertaken on or about 07 April 2021.
The survey will be conducted by divers operating from either a support vessel, the structure, or the shore and should be completed within one day.
An A-Flag will always be displayed when divers are in the water. The dive supervisor will also maintain VHF communication on channel 16 and liaise with ferry masters and local port managers.
Mariners navigating near to Castlebay Ferry Terminal on this date are requested to do so with caution, regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash and stay well clear when an A flag is being displayed on the shore, structure or any vessels supporting the works.
Further NTMs will be issued as the work progresses and details can be obtained using the contact details below.
