Mariners are advised that Feis Mara na Hearadh, Isle of Harris Festival of the Sea is scheduled to take place at the Isle of Harris Marina pontoons, East Loch Tarbert, Isle of Harris between Thursday 27th and Saturday 29th July.

There will be 3 days of events with ‘on the water days’, paddle sports events, coastal rowing, sailing in company, RIB race and handling challenge and the Harris Sea Angling Championship.

“On the water days” events have been timed to avoid clashing with the scheduled ferry service. Activity times will be:

  • Thursday 27th1200 -1700
  • Friday 28th1100-1500
  • Saturday 1230-1600

Mariners navigating within East Loch Tarbert and near to the event area during this time are requested to do so with caution, regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash, maintain a constant lookout and listening watch on VHF CH12 + CH16.

Unless otherwise promulgated,  if the NTM is still marked as ‘Active’ it is still in force.
