NTM 22/23 East Loch Tarbert, Harris, Bathymetric Survey

Mariners are advised that from 22 May 2023, surveyors Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys will be undertaking a high-resolution bathymetric survey of the statutory harbour area within East Loch Tarbert, Isle of Harris.

Weather permitting, work is scheduled to be completed within 2 – 3 days and will be undertaken from survey vessel Coastal Sensor II.

The survey vessel will maintain VHF radio communication with CalMac Ferries Ltd, and others as required throughout all survey works. Surveys will be completed between sailings of the scheduled ferry services to avoid any disruption.

All vessels navigating within East Loch Tarbert during this time are requested to maintain a lookout for the survey vessel and pass at a safe distance and speed to minimise the effects of wash on the vessel.
