Complete NTM 17/16

Mariners are advised that contractors George Leslie Ltd will soon be commencing reconstruction of Brodick Ferry Terminal, Isle of Arran.

On-shore site setup commenced on 11th January 2016 and weather permitting planned construction works will commence in early February and last for 18 months.

During this time scheduled ferry services will continue operation however, pier access by other vessels will be restricted and only permitted by prior arrangement with the CalMac Ferries Ltd Port Manager in liaison with the works supervisor.

During marine works the supervisor will ensure VHF Channels 12 and 16 are monitored and will liaise with the Port Manager and Master of the CalMac Ferry to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services.

The limit of the works will be contained within an area defined by a line drawn between the following points and as indicated on the accompanying diagram:

It is requested that all vessels operating near to this area maintain a safe distance and pass at minimum speed to reduce vessel wash.

Harbour Reconstruction Works

During the period of construction there will be occasions when supporting vessels and dive operations will be required on site.

Mariners will be advised of progress by means of NTM updates issued as necessary.
