Mariners are advised that work to replace the wire ropes used for lifting the linkspan at Coll Ferry Terminal, Isle of Coll is about to commence.  To minimise disruption to ferry services the contractor will carry out the work over two separate occasions.

Consequently, the linkspan will be closed to all traffic after the 12:45 RoPax sailing on 22 January 2019 to allow contractors to replace the lifting ropes on one side. During this time, the main berth will remain open.

Following completion of works, the linkspan will reopen for the arrival of the 09:55 RoPax service on 26 January 2019.

It will then close again after the 12.45 sailing on 28 January, and reopen for the arrival of the 10.15 sailing on 31 January. This will allow the replacement of the remaining ropes, during which time the main berth will remain open.
