SVRP Phase 2: Next round of public engagement events announced
Following the public engagement events held in January and September 2025, CMAL is hosting a further series of in-person sessions across the Outer Hebrides. Updates will include a review of the preferred new-vessel concept design, with concept layouts of the vehicle decks and passenger accommodation displayed. Moreover, information will be provided on the deployment plan for the Sound of Barra and the Sound of Harris.
Representatives from CMAL, CalMac, and Transport Scotland will attend the events planned from Monday, 25th to Thursday, 28th May. During the meetings, attendees will have the opportunity to share their views and comments and ask questions.
