Important update: New Mull Vessels Project public events

Unfortunately, due to the deteriorating weather forecast, we have decided to cancel today’s public event, which was originally planned for Iona and relocated to Fionnphort. This is due to the expected high winds and weather warnings issued as a result of Storm Bram.

We recognise this will be disappointing to those who intended to attend apologise for the inconvenience caused; however, we will publish our presentation materials on our project page later this week, and the online feedback form will remain open for a few weeks to gather as much feedback as possible.

Public events: Learn about our plans for new Mull vessels

We’re inviting communities to learn about our plans to replace the MV Loch Frisa and MV Isle of Mull, which operate on the Oban–Craignure route, with modern, low-emission vessels whilst improving the accessibility, resilience, and reliability of the service.

Together with CalMac Ferries and Transport Scotland, we’re in the early data-gathering stages of the New Mull Vessels Project (NMVP) and have now planned a series of public engagement events for December 2025, during which we’ll discuss topics such as capacity and the retail offering.
