1300hrs – A sponsored raft race will take place with two rafts racing over a course that commences and finishes at the lifeboat slipway to a point approximately 150m offshore

1430hrs – The lifeboat will undertake a demonstration of a simulated casualty recovery and emergency response – Orange smoke may be used as a distress signal.

The RNLI will liaise with the Port Manager and Masters of the Caledonian MacBrayne ferries to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services. VHF channels 12 and 16 will also be monitored.

During the period of the display all vessels navigating in the vicinity of Largs Bay are advised to maintain a look-out for the lifeboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
