NTM 31/20 PORT, HARBOUR & SLIPWAY BATHYMETRIC SURVEYS

Mariners are advised that week commencing 29 June 2020, contractors Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys Ltd will be conducting hydrographic surveys of the seaward areas of the following CMAL port, harbour and slipways within the Firth of Clyde area.

  • Largs Harbour  29/06/20 to 01/07/20
  • Cumbrae Ferry Slipway  30/06/20
  • Gourock Ferry Terminal 02/07/20
  • Colintraive and Rhubodach Ferry Slipways 03/07/20

Surveys are planned to be undertaken from a small workboat ‘Marine Sensor’ and weather permitting it is anticipated works may be completed within the week.

The survey team supervisor will monitor VHF channels 12 and 16 and liaise with the local CalMac Ferries Ltd Port Managers to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of the listed locations during the periods indicated are advised to maintain a lookout for the survey vessel and proceed with caution, regulating your speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
