NTM 30/17 Lochboisdale Ferry Terminal, South Uist Dive Project on MV Lord of the Isles

Mariners are advised that a dive project will commence at 21:00hrs this evening to undertake overnight repairs on the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry MV Lord of the Isles while berthed at Lochboisdale Ferry Terminal, South Uist.

Dive operations will halt at 07:00hrs on Friday 02 June 2017, recommence at 21:00hrs that evening and all diving should end about 07:00hrs on Saturday 03 June.

Contractors Shearwater Marine Services Ltd will be operating from the pier deck with a safety boat in attendance.

The contractor’s supervisor will liaise with the CalMac Ferries Ltd Port Manager and the Master of MV Lord of the Isles. Appropriate navigation lights will be displayed on the ferry.

Between the planned overnight dive times all vessels navigating near Lochboisdale Ferry Terminal are requested to proceed with caution, regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash and maintain a lookout for the dive team.
