NTM 45/15 Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminal Fender Repairs

Mariners are advised that contractors NG Builders Ltd will be undertaking repairs to the linkspan berthing area fendering at Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminal.

Works will commence during the evening of Thursday 20th August 2015 and are estimated to last for one week.

They will be conducted as nightshift operations and will begin each evening after departure of the last scheduled ferry journey and conclude before arrival of the next mornings’ ferry. The pier will be closed for berthing by all vessels between the times of these ferry sailings.

Works will be undertaken from the pier deck using a man riding basket with a safety boat in attendance.

The contractor supervisor will monitor VHF Channel 16 and will liaise with the Port Manager to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services.

During the period of works all vessels navigating in the vicinity of Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminal are advised to do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
