Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) provides vessels and harbour infrastructure for West of Scotland ferry services.  This position offers an exciting opportunity for the post holder to ensure that all elements of statutory obligations are met whilst also ensuring that each business unit are adhering to the relevant requirements of ISO 9001 along with external and  internal Policies and Procedures.  The role will involve occasional travel across Scotland and the Western Isles.

Maintaining and developing CMAL’s estate in line with our strategic priorities and reporting to the Buildings and Property Manager, you will assist with maintenance, refurbishment and small works associated with the CMAL estate.  You will also assist with the management of numerous tenanted and leased property arrangements. You will be responsible for on-going projects and will work with consultants, contractors, the ferry operator, local communities and Transport Scotland.

Ideally you will be RICS qualified and have 3 to 5 years’ experience in building surveying, with project and budget management experience, coupled with a proactive approach and excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills. Your role will require site meetings and inspections, sometimes in the evening or at weekends.
