Mariners are advised that an inspection of the RoRo linkspan No. 1 structure at Oban Ferry Terminal, Argyll will be commencing this morning.

CMAL’s consulting engineer George Leslie Ltd will be operating from the linkspan and a small workboat which at times may be out of sight beneath the structure. The inspection is scheduled to be completed within two days.

The consultant’s supervisor will liaise with the Harbour Manager and ferry Masters to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services. VHF channel 16 will also be monitored.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Oban Ferry Terminal during this time are advised to maintain a look-out for the workboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
