Mariners are advised that hydrographic surveys are to be undertaken of Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd harbour areas at Castlebay Ferry Terminal, Isle of Barra and Lochboisdale Ferry Terminal, South Uist.

Weather permitting works are scheduled to commence at Lochboisdale on or about 27 March 2018 and thereafter works will be undertaken at Castlebay on or about 29 March.

The surveys will be carried out by contractor Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys Ltd and during the period of the works the survey vessel Master will monitor communications on VHF channels 12 and 16.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Lochboisdale and Castlebay Ferry Terminals during on the above-mentioned dates are advised to maintain a look-out for the survey vessel, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
