CMAL owns and leases piers, harbours and properties around the West coast of Scotland. We also own the ferries operated by Calmac Ferries in the Firth of Clyde and around the Hebrides.
Our aim is to maintain, improve and enhance these assets so that we can provide the best possible infrastructure for vital ferry services, helping to boost Scotland’s economy by getting people to work, goods to market and opening up the richness of Scotland’s natural heritage and culture to visitors around the world.
We are undertaking a series of projects for the future which include a plan to ensure that all ferries in our fleet are less than 30 years old. These projects also include multi-million pound improvements at piers and harbours throughout the West coast of Scotland and the Clyde Estuary.
