Update on pier reconstruction works at Port Ellen - February

Following persistent poor weather conditions in the area, Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) has announced that works at Port Ellen are now anticipated to complete in June.

Kennacraig Terminal Upgrade Phase 1 – Progress – May 2011

The berthing dolphin at Kennacraig was completed and successfully opened for use during the last week of April 2011. Graham Construction also completed all of the marine works to the south berth of the pier, which allowed the ferry services to revert to this berth and use the linkspan.

Kennacraig Ferry Terminal – New berthing dolphin open

CMAL are pleased to announce that the new berthing dolphin at Kennacraig was opened for operation on Wednesday 27th April 2011. As well as the dolphin being opened, the south berth and linkspan were also re-opened in time for the evening sailing from Port Askaig to Kennacraig.

NTM 05/11: West Loch Tarbert - Kennacraig Pier Upgrade Works Continue - April 2011

Active  Further to NTM 01/10, mariners are advised that Graham Construction are continuing to undertake pier upgrade works at Kennacraig for Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL). The pier upgrade works taking place in West Loch Tarbert, in the vicinity of the Ferry Terminal at Kennacraig, are due to be complete during July 2011.
