Further to CMAL NTM 13/11, mariners are advised that BAM Nuttall Ltd intend to carry out night shift working as part of the pier repair works to the quay walls at Gourock Ferry Terminal, Firth of Clyde.
The night shift working will commence on Wednesday 30th November 2011
and will continue intermittently until the works are completed in March
2012. BAM Nuttall will also continue their day works.
The works
consist primarily of steel sheet pile repairs and concrete repairs to
the quay walls and will be predominantly undertaken by divers accessing
the water from the quay edge. All working areas will be appropriately
marked at all times. The nightshift areas will be marked and lit by
“special marks”, consisting of yellow flashing beacons.
There
will be sections of berth that the contractor will have a full
possession of, where vessel will not be permitted to berth. Details of
