NTM 54/12: Isle of Cumbrae – Ferry Slipway Repair Works

Mariners are advised that contractor George Leslie Ltd is carrying out concrete and foundation repair works to Isle of Cumbrae ferry slipway.

Project overview
Work is being undertaken at Port Ellen and Kennacraig harbours which will deliver improved berthing facilities and accommodate the new vessel MV Finlaggan.

Port Ellen pier officially opened

After extensive redevelopment, Port Ellen pier on Islay was officially opened by CMAL on Thursday 30th August. Work on the pier was successfully completed in June, and reopened to traffic on the 1st July 2012.
