Work is being undertaken at Port Ellen and Kennacraig harbours which will deliver improved berthing facilities and accommodate the new vessel MV Finlaggan.

Statement on MV Finlaggan

16 June 2011

Following the report of a technical fault on the forward ramp system onboard MV FINLAGGAN on Tuesday afternoon (14th June), the vessel’s crew and subcontractors addressed the problem and were able to close the ramp and bow door, allowing the ship to sail. The vessel will continue to operate using the stern ramp only, until replacement parts are sourced and fitted

NTM 10/11: Oban Bay – North/Railway Piers - Marine Surveys

Complete  Further to NTM 07/11 Mariners are advised that marine surveying will continue to take place in the vicinity of the SE corner of Oban Harbour, namely between the North and Railway Piers until the 17th of June 2011.

Complete  Further to CMAL Notice to Mariners 04/11 a diving inspection of the Old Pierhead will be conducted from Monday 13th June until Thursday 16th June 2011 inclusive.

NTM 07/11: Oban Bay – North/Railway Piers - Marine Survey

Complete  Mariners are advised that marine surveying will take place in the vicinity of the SE corner of Oban Harbour namely between the North and Railway Piers. Works will commence from Thursday 9th and are due for completion by Tuesday 14th.
