Tiree project steering group

A project has been set up to consider what the potential onshore requirements might be of an offshore wind farm off Tiree.

As the harbour owner and Harbour Authority, CMAL are pleased to contribute to this important exercise

Active   Mariners are advised that all major works at Port Ellen Ferry Terminal, Islay have now been completed and the terminal and pier will be fully opened to all ferry and commercial operations from 0700hrs on Sunday 1st July 2012.

Contracts signed on the new £42 million ferry for Western Isles

Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) has today (22nd June) announced that the contracts have been formally signed to build the new Stornoway-Ullapool ferry, announced earlier this month. The various documents including the shipbuilding contract and lease were signed for the replacement vessel, which is to be built at Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft MBH and Co KG - Flensburg, Germany.
