Voting opens on the shortlist to name new Stornoway Ullapool ferry

Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) has announced its shortlist of names for the new Stornoway Ullapool ferry, due to be launched in February 2014.
Tiree project steering group
A project has been set up to consider what the potential onshore requirements might be of an offshore wind farm off Tiree.
As the harbour owner and Harbour Authority, CMAL are pleased to contribute to this important exercise

Mariners are advised that the rearmost light of the mains powered leading lights AtoN
guiding mariners into the entrance to Lochaline, Sound of Mull is mounted on a third party structure. Due to essential refurbishment of the structure this light requires to be permanently disconnected and dismounted.

Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) has announced the shortlist of names for their next sea going Roll On Roll Off vehicle and passenger diesel electric hybrid ferry, due to launch in summer 2013. The vessel is currently being built at Ferguson Shipyard in Port Glasgow and will be the second ferry in the new Scottish literature class, which will form the basis of all future hybrid ferry names. The first hybrid ferry, the MV HALLAIG, launched in December last year.

Mariners are advised that CMAL have appointed NW Marine to undertake a dive inspection and fender repair works at Lochboisdale Ferry Terminal, South Uist.
