Tiree project steering group

A project has been set up to consider what the potential onshore requirements might be of an offshore wind farm off Tiree.

As the harbour owner and Harbour Authority, CMAL are pleased to contribute to this important exercise

Brodick Pierhead Piles and Fender Repair Works

CMAL has announced that the contract for the main pier fendering and the repair of the piles on the section of Brodick pierhead beneath the old store has been awarded to Gareloch Support Services (GSS).

Lochranza Sea Wall Repair Project

CMAL has announced that consulting engineers Atkins Ltd have been appointed to progress plans to replace part of the sea wall at Lochranza, which is currently in poor condition.

Update on MV JUNO recycling – 29th July 2011

Following the announcement in February that the MV JUNO was to be recycled, CMAL has confirmed that the vessel has now completed the recycling process at DRB’s facility in Rosneath.

Active  CMAL takes it's responsibilities very seriously and a recent incident surrounding anglers fishing from shore has focused attention on angling safety in general. It is to be remembered that most of CMAL’s harbours lie within remote areas and that if you get into difficulties nobody may well be around to help you!
