Complete   Mariners are advised that Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) has contracted Fugro Seacore Ltd to undertake ground investigation works at Kennacraig. A marine ground investigation will be taking place in West Loch Tarbert, in the vicinity of the ferry terminal at Kennacraig from 12th September until 30th September 2010.

Public meetings were held at Ramsay Hall, Port Ellen on 9th Aug 2010, and Templar Art & Leisure Centre, Tarbert on 10th Aug 2010 to update the public on the progress of improvements to Port Ellen and Kennacraig harbours. The meetings included an update on technical progress, ongoing and recently completed works, and project programmes and budgets.
